“It’s educationally oriented but painlessly,” said Michael Chinworth, former vice president and docent. Geared towards smaller children, the idea was to provide an entertaining outlet to learn a little bit of railroading in Northern Virginia as well as Civil War history. Children could take part in a scavenger hunt, play Museum Clue Bingo and Thomas’ Name Game, take some quizzes, as well as tour the facility inside and out. It was “All-Aboard” with train trivia, local history, and locomotive fun when the Fairfax Station Railroad Museum held Game Day on Sunday, March 10, 2019, in Fairfax Station.
